How to Remove Sticker Residue From Clothes

So I washed B’s soccer shirt with his name tag still on it.  When it came out of the dryer the sticker was gone and I was left with a big rectangle of sticker residue.  That stuff did not want to come off!  After a second washing it then had sand and lint stuck on it too.

Well tonight is soccer photo night, and I couldn’t have B looking goofy, so I tried something that actually worked to take it off easily, rubbing alcohol!

That’s right, rubbing alcohol.  I poured some on the area, let it soak in for a few minutes and used an old toothbrush to rub it.  The stuff came right off and it looks as good as new!  You will need to launder the clothes after as well, but he is ready for pictures now.

*Disclaimer* I have used rubbing alcohol to clean things before (see my cleaning microfibre couch post) and have never had an issue with staining or colour removal.  However, if you are worried about it, test in an inconspicuous area of the garment first.

Also, you may need to repeat this process a couple of times to get all of the residue off.
